NMS Back-to-School Open House - Tuesday, August 6, 2024
2-3:30pm - 6th Grade Open House
3:30-7pm - 6th-8th Open House
All of our NMS Mustangs are invited to our Back to School Open House!
Students will have the opportunity to receive their class schedule and meet their teachers.
**Siblings of 6th graders may also attend the 6th Grade Open House between 2-3:30pm
As a reminder - all rising 7th graders are required by law to get the TDAP, Meningitis, and HPV vaccines in Virginia. An updated immunization record verifying receipt of the vaccines must be provided to our School Nurse prior to the first day of school on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Students who have not received the vaccines and have not provided an updated immunization record to NMS School Nurse prior to the first day of school will not be able to attend school until the School Nurse has received verification that the state required immunizations have been received.
Please contact your student's healthcare provider or make plans to attend Nelson Community Health Fair which will be held on Saturday, July 20th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Immunizations and free Sports Physicals will be available during the Health Fair.
Thank you in advance for meeting these requirements so that your student will be able to begin their school year on August 8, 2024.
